O.A.K is a library for the community of Oakland in a futuristic context. The way this was accounted for in this design was the fact that the program consists less of books, stacks, and computer spaces, and rather consists of places to make and tinker physically as well as places to upload knowledge, experiences, stories, data, and places to download that information. The information is sourced directly from the people of the surrounding community and is gained back into the system through various aspets of this high-tech “library.”
