The purpose of this pavilion is to appreciate the sensorial qualities of music. When I think of music, I firstly think about its sound and consequently listening, and secondly I think about the movements associated with it, experienced through sight. Normally, live music is enjoyed through both of these senses simultaneously. This pavilion, however, will deprive the audience of one of the senses, leaving the other to shine brilliantly. The first space will feature a soundproof chamber where a band or musician can play but cannot be heard, only seen. The second space will be deprived of light and so the musician will only be heard and not seen.
